En-tai demon

I bought this to represent the Maw beast in Forbidden Psalm. But it will also come in handy for the filthy cultists, who need a horror to worship.

Behold, the other worldly beast upon whom they base their headwear. It's a Reaper Bones Black Stone lurker,  a riff on the D&D Roper.

It sat around half painted for a while because I couldn't decide on the scheme. Eventually I got hold of some fluorescent pink Vallejo paint with the intention of doubling down on this project's Mork Borg aesthetic.

I did some simple OSL pink eyes, but green arms didn't look great alongside them. I ended up painting them in the same color, but trying to blend up interesting looking high points. The rest of the overall look comes from the wet looking Blood for the blood god slathered around.

This mini is big. So big that I had to make a custom base by cutting it out of cork. It was a little tricky cutting the circle, but at least made it very easy to texture by cutting and crumbling.

The fluro pink has been fun to apply to various minis. Im using it to signify malign magical energy. Look out for it in upcoming posts.

  1. Great... Now we know where those guys got their carnivorous inclinations from :O

I'm impressed by how well you did the transition between "Sun Ice jacket pink", and disgusting bloody brownish black. That's never easy. But the effect is great.

    1. Also their inspiration for their headwear! Thank you, it took a LOT of very thin glazes, wet-brush highlighting and yet more thin glazes.
